Farewell, Hamilton Beach Brewstation. You served us very well, lasting longer than any other coffee maker (it helped that you didn’t have a carafe for Craig to break); I couldn’t have gotten through Saturday mornings or my summer of waking up at 4am without you. Reasons for my month- long internet absence:
– My cat died and I was really sad, so I threw myself into gardening/homemaking projects and work stuff.
– Boston happened, and then the explosion in West; and then I had no words at all. And that went on for a while.
– When the shock and terror finally subsided, it was time for the last dance competition, and time to finish choreography for the next performance. I’ve been busy at the dance studio and even busier at home (spring cleaning/organizing– Mom’s coming to visit in a couple weeks).
– I’ve been trying to be more quiet– more listening, learning, and reading instead of sounding my own horn. It’s enjoyable.
– It’s spring and the weather is beauuuuuuuutiful.

I hope you are well– you, personally; the rare reader that stumbles across this space. I hope wherever you are, the weather is lovely and that you have peace.
